Pakistan Condemns Cross-Border Strike, Summons Iranian Diplomat

Pakistans Foreign Ministry summoned Irans Chargé dAffaires today to deliver a formal protest following a reported cross-border strike in the Balochistan region. Pakistani officials claim Iranian forces fired mortar shells into a border village, causing damage to property. The ministry called the incident a violation of Pakistans sovereignty and urged Tehran to investigate. The restive border region sees occasional clashes, but direct exchanges between state forces are rare. Iran has not yet issued a public statement on the incident.
